1943 (World War 2 era) souvenir cover airmailed from Sydney, Australia to a small island on the north coast, Mornington. The Christmas Day signature on the back is J.B. McCarthy, a missionary who served as ruler of the island. The airplane carrying the mail was the “Coolangatta”, with pilot’s signature on the front. The cover is trapezoidal, no doubt wartime quality.
