In the lead feature article right now is the Linprint Catalog of Philatelic Labels, written by George Linn. The catalog was published in 1940, and lists stamps that Linn knew through 1939, and has only a few black & white illustrations. Just below it you will see a group of color images of “Philatelic Labels” which is expanded a bit more than the catalog; it includes stamps (and souvenir sheets, etc.) up until 1949. Click on any one of them to see it in detail with short captions. As time goes by, the group of scans will get more organized and enlarged, giving people a partial taste of this field and more examples to see in color.
