Denmark – hand-painted Poster Stamp essays. c.1913/14 for the Dania Biofilm Company. One of the essays mentions one of the company’s films “Gislet” [sic] with the notation that it would be released December 10. The film, called Gidslet, actually had its theatrical release on March 23, 1914. These essays appear to have been adhered to the backs of envelopes, possibly to illustrate how they could be used.
