Who do you trust? These stamps from Bergamo, Italy, in 1897, celebrating the birth of Donizetti, are listed in two modern catalogs. Both catalogs have different identifications of the colors used, and both catalogs list colors that are different from the ones shown here. This is just one of the problems facing collectors and cataloguers of vintage poster stamps.
