Here are two sets of recent stamps linked to the war in Ukraine, with 2 very different points of view. Each is available for $10.00

The first set is available from The Portland Stamp Company, printed and perforated by them from a design by Ukrainian artist Nina Dzyvulkska. All proceeds benefit Voices of Children, a Ukrainian foundation helping children. The blue and yellow colors are those of the Ukrainian flag, and images of peoples’ faces make a point consistent with the benefiting charity.

The second set is available on ebay through an American dealer in Kansas. The stamps are produced in the Ukraine and sold through a family in western Ukraine; the cost includes a donation to Heifer Project International, one of the few international charities still active in Ukraine, and of course profits for the stamps go to people in Ukraine. The stamps are perforated and sold separated, issued ungummed.

The scan is not a mistake, the people are black/grey images with touches of color to show scarves of blue & yellow. Of the 10 stamps, 5 are in knights’ armor with flags for identification. Top left, unknown Bulgarian, Presidents Erdogan of Turkey, Duda of Poland second row, and Biden at the bottom, probably US Secretary of State Antony Blinken third row left. General George Patton, Charles De Gaulle, and Prime Minister Zelenskiy are in military garb, along with 2 unrecognized, possibly also from WW2. The message to us: for Ukrainians this is not some regional fuss, this is a parallel to WW2, involving world leaders, and comparable to the war against Hitler.
